Future Designs of Cars | Info on Prototype Cars of the Future.

Prototype designs for cars of the future are getting sleeker and closer to reality all the time. The last time we saw this kind of automobile design revolution was in the 1960s when cars came equipped standard with fins and sleek body styles. This article covers some of the newest concept cars hitting show room floors. - Keep checking back for updates and thanks for visiting!

Future cars for BMW

BMW's entry into the future car design market is the all new M6. It's been more than 15 years since the BMW M6 has been available. The M6 features a curvy design and sleek contours making this a very visually appealing car. The auto maker is endowing the M6 with a 500 horse power engine with 383 lb -ft torque. This future car will redline at 8,250 RPM. The M6 will go from 0 to 60 in under 5 seconds, a true racing enthusiast sports car. The one draw back is the car is limited electronically to 155mph though the speedometer can reach 205.

Future cars for Toyota

One of Toyota's most interesting concepts is the Camry Hybrid. Unfortunately not many details are available at the time of this report.

The Toyota 2007 Yaris is an interesting look for a vehicle. The car resembles a VW beetle. The Yaris features a 60 / 40 split rear seat that reclines, slides and folds flat. It also comes with a MP3 player that's compatible with your iPod. This future car seems targeted at the college crowd and is a welcome site to the eyes.

Of Toyota's concept cars of the future the Alessandro Volta is one of the hottest designs I've seen. The body is reminiscent of a Lamborghini Diablo only with more futuristic curves. This is the first high performance hybrid car ever made and is quite a visual spectacle. This concept car features "drive by wire" controls and a 408 horse power hybrid synergy drive. The Alessandro Volta goes from 0 to 60 in an amazing 4 seconds while getting 480 miles from a 13.7 gallon tank!

Please keep checking back for more future car designs!
