Elvis Mini Series on CBS / Elvis Movie Information

Elvis Presley is back in a big way with CBS's Elvis mini series. The new CBS documentary features the life of Elvis Presley from the ages of 18 to 33. The series will chronichal the history of Elvis Presley from his humble beginnings as a poor boy to his rise in fame to rock and roll icon. The Elvis mini series will also explore Elvis' musical influences along with his personal relationships with Anne Margret, Prescilla Presley, Colonel Tom Parker and his mother Gladys.

Elvis the Mini Series also has the benefit of being the first ever documentary to feature actual master recordings granted by the Elvis Presley Estate so when you listen to Elvis sing in the movie you are hearing the real Presley's voice. They also have the added benefit of being the first movie to be allowed to film in Graceland.

The cast of the Elvis Mini Series features Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Elvis, Camryn Manheim ("The Practice") as his mother Gladys, Randy Quaid as Colonel Tom Parker, Rose McGowan as Anne-Margret, Robert Patrick as Vernon and Antonia Bernath as Priscilla Presley.

The 4 hour made for TV Elvis Mini Series event starts as the CBS Sunday Movie on Sunday May 8th with part 2 airing on Wednesday May 11th. Check your local listings for details.
